Informationon James S. Rawlins taken from 1860 Missouri Census. I was able to
print this census which also contains James' signature because he was listed as
Asst. Marshal on the census. Listed as living in Ripley Co. MO, Current
River Township.

I only had family records
back to John (J.A.) Rawlins. I connected him to James because the birth
year matched and 1900 TN census that contains information I'm sure is of my
relative, lists him as born in MO.

No children are listed on the 1880 MO census but there are 2 young men buried next
to John and his second wife that could not have come from the second
marriage. I'm not sure if they are sons of the first marriage or just
other relatives.

but only 1 living)

1910 TN Census still lists John, Caladonia and Jesse in
Tipton Co. Side note says "Covington and Arlington Road"
1920 TN Census lists John and Donie in Shelby Co. side note of
"Bruinswick and Covington Road"
I don't have any census records after 1920. The following information has
been derived from family records passed down to me and some internet research,
particularly a listing of information from gravestones in the cemetary in which
they are buried.
