THOMAS RAWLINGS md Mary Triby in Loudoun Co., VA. Emigrated
to Fleming Co., KY as early as 1795. THOMAS was born 1758, died 1839.
Children: ELIZABETH, WILLIAM S., BARBARA, MELINDA, JAMES,
SARAH, AUSTIN and JOHN E. Five of these children came to Ohio and settled in
Champaign County. WILLIAM came first in 1814, JAMES came in 1822, and the
others at later dates. We have no data on AUSTIN and JOHN E.
JAMES (above) was born in 1903 in Virginia; md (1) Susannah
I. McRoberts (1810-1849). He married (2) Mrs. Jane Osborne, who died Feb. 25,
1865.

Will of Wm. Sears 1752; Records of Essex Co., Tappahannock,
Virginia, Will Book 9,P.190
His complete estate given to his two children - Albert Sears
and Sarah Wagoner Sears, dtr. of Elizabeth Wagoner of this same county. Part of
this estate will be the sum of Fifty Pounds owed by Wm. Sears, father-in-law
JEREMIAH RAWLINGS of King and Queen County, Virginia. Will made May 17, 1752,
probated June 16, 1752.

Children: JAMES WESLEY (who had 2 sons, at least), VIRGINIA who md John L.
Carter and had 4 children; "Mit" who md Joseph Hampton, went to
Indiana, had 3 children, LEE, unmarried, BRODY; and JOHN WILL, b. 1854, md
Elvira Keene in 1871 in Loudoun Co., VA, had at least 2 children.
