Dear Cousins:

I apologize for the terrible lateness of your December 2002 Newsletter. As some of you know my son David is very ill, has been for some 6 or 7 years, and since his father's death I have been his sole caregiver. At present he is in the final stages of liver disease and those of you who have taken on the responsibility for the care of a seriously ill loved one know just how many hours of your day it can take. But soon he will be at rest for which his friends and family will be comforted.

But having let everything else go, including R/RFHA business' I have a great task ahead. I haven't filed properly in several years and have to search for everything. Correspondence has been delayed. Research has been postponed which I regret. Then there is the housework! Don't get me started.

I hope everyone had a happy holiday season and, regardless of the tenor of the times, continue to pray for peace.
