FRANCIS RAWLINGS, son of JOHN & Eleanor (Ridgely) RAWLINGS, was the owner of the Inn where many members of the underground

Militia held secret meetings plotting the Revolution, or planning after it started. He was commended by Congress for his active support of the patriot cause before the war

JOHN ROLLINS/RAWLINS was the contractor for improvements at Mt. Vernon, hired by George Washington. The large banquet-room at the north end of Mt.Vernon was placed in his hands since he was a craftsman in decorative plaster-work. He was from Baltimore.

A STEPHEN & AMARIAH ROLLINS were with the New Jersey militia in the Revolutionary War from Bergen County. This taken from “Officers & Men of New Jersey In The Revolutionary War” by Strycker.

ISAAC RAWLINS, b. 1818 in Yorkshire, England...died April 22, 1900 in Canada. Does anyone know where? Wife Isabelle Strewbson, b. 1836 in Pennsylvania, d. March 13, 1911, in Ontario, Canada. Note: In the "Pennsylvania List of English Immigrants" is listed an ISAAC RAWLINS coming in 1820.

WILLIAM J. RAWLINGS, son of AARON and Sarah Jane (Sparks) RAWLINGS, b. Nov.15, 185 in Scott Co.; md Louisa/Lovisa Gladden. He died Sept. 29, 1896, buried Kimberlin Creek Cemetery, Scott Co. Children: CHARLES A., DAISY E. McAdams, ELIZA E. Smith, BERTHA L. Montgomery, ROY A. and FRANK G.

WILLIAM J. RAWLINGS, b. 1841 in Marion Co., Ind., son of ELISHA and Elizabeth (David) RAWLINGS. He md. Ann R.D. Kuser, March 17, 1864; died Dec. 17, 1902; buried Goodrich Cemetery, Libert Twp., Linn Co. Children: ALBERT, IDA Ford, ELISHA and ORA.

The town of Boonesborough was created by the act entitled ‘An Act for Establishing the Town of Boonesborough in the country of Kentucky’ - Henning Statues, Vol. 10 1).134. One of the trustees was PEMBERTON ROLLINS.
