Additional information on this family: Father of STEVEN was JOSEPH RIGBY ROLLINS from England- STEVEN's mother was Mary Dandridge. STEVEN was born in 1791- His wife was Catherine Boulware, b. 1796.

This information was given to Marilyn in 1965 by a lady in Wabash, Indiana. STEPHEN BROOK was her ancestor. No connection to Marilyn's family.

This bit of information should alert descendants of JAMES MASON RAWLINS, that evasive Loyalist to the British Crown during the Revolutionary War. Since the mention of the fact (?) that JAMES was married to a Priscilla Blount at "Bunker Hill", it has been the automatic assumption that meant the town in Massachusetts. One of our charter members, Lyle Bodily RAWLINS has recently discovered on the Tiger Map Server run by the US Census Bureau that when one asks for Bunker Hill one locates it in Massachusetts, but also five Bunker Hills in North Carolina. One is a suburb of Rockingham, NC...one is found a few miles south of Brevard, NC...there is a Bunker Hill Church directly south of Kernersville, NC...there is Bunker Hill Covered Bridge near Claremont, NC...and also a Bunker Hill High School in the same general area.
