R/RFHA Newsletter, March 2000 P.2
LETTERS FROM AFAR
We have received a communication from the Arizona State
Library & Archives asking if we would send them our newsletters. Of course
we would be happy to. Someone had already donated Volumes 1 thru 6, so your
Editor sent the next 6 along with Indexes. Starting with this issue they will
be receiving the newsletters just as you or I.
It's great to be appreciated, isn't it?

It's not, too late to order a copy of Byrd E. Tribble's book on BENJAMIN CASON RAWLINS,
Virginia hero of the Confederate Army in the War Between the States. He was
quite a man - enlisted at 16, became the youngest captain of the CSA by field
appointment, and was the first Virginia enlistee. It's a great read, and can
be ordered from Byrd at her home address for $25.00. And she will sign each one
personally. Her husband is descended from BENJAMIN.

MYSTERY
Your Editor has a slip of paper in her possession with the
name KAREN RAWLINGS, P.O.Box 887, Franklin, WV 26807-0887.
I have no idea from whence it came. Can anyone enlighten me?
Was it sent with the suggestion to contact Ms RAWLINGS? I would gladly do so
when I get a go-ahead from whomever sent it to me.
Thanx.
