DONALD W. RAWLINGS, 89, of Charleston died May 25th, 1999,
at home after a long illness. He was a member of the Greenlee Methodist Church,
survived by wife Virginia May Fields Rawlings, sons Arnold of Florida and
Frederick, Don, David and Carl of Charleston plus daughters Helen, June,
Roberta and Karen. He also left 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Does anyone recall the mention in the histories of Maryland
of a ROBERT RAWLINGS who complained to the authorities in England that Lord
Baltimore was not managing the impending settlement of Maryland, and sided with
a Captain Ingle that Lord Baltimore should be replaced? If anyone does, and can
cite sources, we'd appreciate it. We'd like to know who this ROBERT RAWLINGS
was.
