Our diligent correspondent, Charlotte Kunold, is almost back to normal after her Open Heart Surgery the end of November. She is now home and taking it easy, we hope. No more writing 100 postcards a week, Charlotte! Everyone send her a card.

Has anyone read any of the detective stories by Walter Mosley? They are very good, take place in Los Angeles in the 1930's. The hero is EZEKIEL RAWLINS, a private detective.

FRANCIS RAWLINGS, son of JOHN and Eleanor (Ridgely) RAWLINGS, was the owner of the Inn where many members of the underground Militia held secret rendezvous during the American Revolution ... and was commended by Congress for his active support of the patriot cause after the war.

WILLIAM RAWLINGS, b. October (part of stone missing) d. Dec. 29,1869 aged 94.

In memory of MARGARET, consort of WILLIAM RAWLINGS, b. March 13,1784; died March 29,1851, aged 67 years.

PRESLEY RAWLINGS, b. Feb. 1,1813; died Oct. 18,1881.

SARAH, wife of PRESLEY RAWLINGS, born March 14,1818; died April 7,1899.

A STEPHEN and AMARIAH ROLLINS were with the New Jersey militia in the Revolutionary War from Bergen Co. This info taken from "Officers & Men of New Jersey in the Revolutionary War" by Strycker.

A curious note for those of you whose ancestors were early settlers of Georgia. This colony's founders wanted immigrants so badly they offered any newcomer who could endure a year there...64 quarts of molasses.
