Dear Cousins:
I apologize once again for being late with the newsletter.
My son has been very ill for the past year and finally an operation was
scheduled. But first they had to keep him in the hospital for three weeks until
they could build up his strength to face it. The operation was successful, but
one thing after another has happened since. It's been not only stressful for
his father and myself but time consuming. It's only been a week since the
operation but already he's been in and out of ICU twice. It's been particularly
hard on his father who is very ill himself. But finally the newsletter is ready
for the mail and you'll receive it in a few days.
We've had a sudden influx of persons interested in our
group, some who heard of us thru the Internet, some just by word-of-mouth. It's
very gratifying to find we are not only helpful but are now being sought after.
The correspondence continues to be heavy, and the ordering of back issues by
new subscribers is also encouraging. I guess we're here to stay.
You will find Beverly Allan's new address on P. 14, and an
interesting story on a famous living opera star who bears the name RAWLINS, a
contactee of our ever-vigilant Charlotte Kunold.
There is also a new book out on the New Hampshire
RAWLINS/ROLLINS which I am about to order for our archives. (also see P.14)
Hope you all have a great summer. Go searching and digging
and send us all the data you discover for our fall and winter editions.
