An ARTHUR RAWLINS of Boston, master of sloop Elizabeth, was lost at sea in a terrible hurricane off the coast of the Carolinas Aug. 2, 1728. Many vessels lost at the same time. His wife Lydia died May 2, 1727 in the 21st year of her age, and was buried in King's Chapel burying ground.

DANIEL RAWLINGS, b. ca 1694/95, and was alive in 1758. Gave his age as 48 in 1743. Md Mary Rumney July 12, 1716. In April 1720 surveyed 250 acres. 'Lucky Adventure'. Joined Gunpowder meeting (Quakers) Sept. 1758 and left without settling his affairs in order. Had at least one child, DANIEL Jr., who was in Baltimore in 1750 owning 100 acres 'Jeopardy' and 100 acres 'Addition to Jeopardy'.

JAMES RAWLINGS was in Baltimore County by 1750 when he owned 100 acres 'Bear Hill'.

JOHN RAWLINGS purchased 100 acres

"The Narrows" from Jenkin Smith of Calvert Co.. In November 1686 he purchased 150 acres being one-half of 'Collett's Neglect' from Miles Gibson. Was in Baltimore Co. by 1692 as a taxable on the north side of Gunpowder Hundred.

JOHN RAWLINGS was in Baltimore Co. by November 1718 when his wife Dorothy was mentioned in court proceedings. In 1720 Dorothy was mentioned in the will of her uncle JOHN RAWLINGS . Her husband JOHN was dead by March of 1743/44 for in March of that year Dorothy was indicted for bastardy and tried in June of 1744

MICHAEL RAWLINGS was in Baltimore Co. by 1750 as the owner of 50 acres of 'Chattom'.

WILLIAM RAWLINS of Virginia, a soldier of 1812, emigrated to Ohio; md-Joanna Barto, dtr. of John and Hannah Barto of New York. Children: ABRAHAM, HANNAH, ISAAC L., WILLIAM B., HULDAH, BENJAMIN, PHEBE and GEORGE.
