One of our subscribers, Ruth Whitehill, of Portland, Oregon, has sent us a copy of a rather disturbing letter, at least so far as your Editor is concerned. She had inquired as to how to correct mis-information found in the files of the Mormon Temple in Salt Lake City, Utah, and received the following letter in answer:

"Dear Sister Whitehill:

This is in response to your request for the correction of information for a nacre where the ordinance work was recently completed.

We are sorry that we are not able to make the correction requested. Corrections of this type can be made only while the name is still on file in the temple. Inasmuch as there is no question about the validity of the ordinance work, we suggest that you submit the correct identifying information, along with the completed ordinance dates, on diskette to the Ancestral File. Please make note of the corrections to names and other identifying information in your own records.

Best Wishes, etc."
