Further to the submission by subscriber. Felix Earle Luck in the March 1995 issue of the Will of WILLIAM RAWLINS of Tennessee, he adds the following:

"Of WILLIAM RAWLINS' children I have birthdates (approx.) from censuses for:

BETSY (1792), AMY ANN (1800), CLARISSA WINSTON (1806), SARAH L. (1812), and sons-in-law Joseph McGee (1800), Henry A. Raines (1807), Thompson Coleman (1807) and Elisha Sims (1782). JOHN A. T. RAWLINS was b. Apr. 20, 1806; d. Dec. 12, 1884; m. Jane E. Martin Oct. 9, 1844. She was b. Dec. 3, 1812; d. Aug. 27, 1874."

Enclosed with Felix' letter was an abstract of WM. RAWLINS' pension application.

From it we glean that WILLIAM was b. ca 1764; Jemima Light ca 1775, and Rev. Melchizide Brame ca 1773. The uncles mentioned were sons of Melchizideck Brame, WILLIAM's father in-law. The Rev. Brame's father might have been William Brame, oldest brother of Sarah who married WILLIAM RAWLINS in 1788, and was b. ca 1769. The GEORGE RAWLINS mention was WILLIAM's youngest brother, and it was his wife, Frances (Rains) who testified because her husband GEORGE had died, leaving her with five children.
