Season's Greetings, Cousins all!

It's been a very interesting year. A dozen or so members failed to renew, but we gained twenty-eight new subscribers. Most of these new subscribers have heard of us through genealogical publications plus a couple of computer bulletin boards. We welcome them all heartily.

I'm enclosing the Renewal Form for 1994. Hope you will all rejoin to continue our very active research into the R's of all spellings. Every little bit helps, as I am sure you already realize. And along that line, continue sending in your pieces of research information. I know I have a lot amassed in four filing cabinets but so much of it concerns Virginia and Maryland, and we need more from other states North, South and West. And remember, when you do, please name counties as well as towns and cities and states. Most records are kept in county centers, and when so many towns in this country have identical names in state after state, the county locations are always a great help.

In helping one of our subscribers I had occasion to contact the British Consul's office in San Francisco. That office sent me a complete list of public and private sources for all sorts of genealogical research, and the costs of obtaining records. Contact me for any information on England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

One of our new subscribers has a complaint, however. She has written to several subscribers whose research paralleled hers but she has not heard back from them. She asked to mention this so fellow subscribers might answer her requests even thought it might be to inform her they do not have the information she is researching.

May you and yours have the happiest of holiday seasons, and may we all receive the answers to our genealogical puzzles in the Coming Year.
