Re: JOHN RAWLINGS, son of JOANNA and ANTHONY RAWLINGS
JOHN arrived in Dorchester Co., MD in 1673. At the same time he gave his mother and her second husband, Michael Basey (sp ?) a life estate. In 1674 he is mentioned in a deed with his wife, Philadelphia. In 1679 he is listed as an inn-holder, and is deceased by 1696. Land records show that he had a daughter who married a Mr. King, who had a son Obadiah, JOHN and Philadelphia also had a son JOIN, a son ANTHONY and a daughter MARGARET. ANTHONY and his wife moved to Kent Co., Delaware. JOHN was also a very good boatwright.
