Can anyone tell us who it was - which RAWLINGS - did Marjorie Kinnan marry? She is the Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist who wrote "The Yearling" and other books, and whose home is now a prize tourist attraction in Cross Creek. Florida.

We are still trying to find proof of a family connection between AARON RAWLINGS b. ca 1752; d. 1810 in Henry Co., KY; father of ELEAZER RAWLINGS, b. at Fort Pitt (Pittsburgh) June 9, 1786.... and the AARON RAWLINGS who received the "Chattom" property from MICHAEL RAWLINGS in 1773, and sold it in 1776. Does anyone know of the existence of the deed transfer documents for this sale or any other transaction where signatures could be compared? We have a copy of a signature from a petition circulated in Pittsburgh around 1782 of an AARON, who could be ELEAZER's father, a copy of which is in the hands of the Editor. There are also signatures to be had on oaths of allegiance in 1777 and 1778 of (1) AARON of William (2) and AARON Jr. The papers can be found in Baltimore County, Maryland, records, Liber W.G. #A1777-78, pp. 11 and 57.

I'm still searching for my grandfather's 1st wife, whose name I do not know. His second wife was my grandmother. My grandfather's name was EDWIN HARRY ROLLIN, b. 1860, Jefferson Twp., Elkhard, Indiana. He married my grandmother in Jefferson County, Washington, in 1895. I assume he married his 1st wife about 1885, possibly in Elkhart, Indiana...or possibly Miami County, Ohio, where we still have relatives. Any help anyone can give will be greatly appreciated.

My g-g-grandfather was Richard Talbert, b. 1775 in Virginia. He named his first son RAWLINGS TALBERT, b. 1805 in North Carolina. Richard and his brother John Holladay Talbert moved to Monroe County, Alabama, about 1813. In addition, my g-g-g-grandfather was John Talbert of Spotsylvania County, Virginia from 1711... buried in Person Co., NC, in 1794. Since both RAWLINGS and Holladays intermarried in Spotsylvania County for over 3 generations, it. is possible that either Richard's mother or wife was a RAWLINGS. Can anyone answer this question?
