The
Rawlin(g)s Rollin(g)s Family History Association
Vol. 3, No. 3 September 1990
Dear Cousins:
A little
late, but still in September. My apologies, but your Editor has had some
personal matters to attend to which have taken up most of her time in recent months,
and time has been very limited. However, she made up for it with also doing
two-thirds of the December issue while glued to the typewriter. That will help
as the holidays roll around.
We have
gathered in 9 new subscribers to the Newsletter since our June issue, which is
very heart-warming. Several have come from Illinois. I wonder who's giving out
the word about us? Whoever is we must thank him or her. The R/RFHA has already
helped one new subscriber trace back three more generations.
In this
issue we have begun looking into the Surry-Sussex County RAWLINGS, and that
will continue through the next couple of issues. The reason I say that is that
I know of quite a few of our subscribers who descend from this line, although
they may not know it. I've been meaning to do it for some time. We will also be
looking into the Lawrence-Richland-Edwards County, Illinois, RAWLINGS in the
near future, as well as the Greene County, Illinois R's. Then there's the New
England R's which could take us many months into the 21st century!!!!
I'd like
to see more queries coming in. And also, I like the idea offered by Virginia
Rollins More (see P.9).
