From book "A Genealogy of the Ingersoll Family 1629-1925" P.101 - #341 - Irena Maria Ingersol b. July 10, 1835, Cazenovia, NY, married March 16, 1858, at Chattanooga, Tenn., REZIN MONROE RAWLINGS, born there Dec. 14, 1836, son of ASAHEL and Penelope (Smith) RALINGS . REZIN was a Major in the War Between the States, an ardent Confederate, served on the staff of General Pillow. During the war their house was burned by Union soldiers and their property confiscated. Mrs. Rawlings was still living in 1907.
